Manaslu Circuit Trek – Around the Mountain of the Spirit
About the Trek
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a remote and rewarding journey around Mount Manaslu (8,156 m), the eighth-highest mountain in the world. Located between the Annapurna range and Ganesh Himal, this trek offers dramatic Himalayan scenery with far fewer crowds than Nepal’s more famous routes.
Often referred to as the “Mountain of the Spirit,” Manaslu is known not only for its towering presence but also for the deep cultural and spiritual atmosphere that surrounds the region. The trail follows the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through steep gorges, terraced farmlands, alpine valleys, and high mountain passes.
Why Choose the Manaslu Circuit Trek?
The Manaslu Circuit is ideal for trekkers looking for a challenging, less-commercialized alternative to Everest and Annapurna. It combines high-altitude adventure with cultural authenticity and untouched landscapes.
As you gain altitude, the scenery and lifestyle gradually change — from lower villages influenced by Nepali hill culture to the Nupri region, where communities are descended from Tibetan settlers and Buddhist traditions dominate daily life.
